This is Patrick ... one of the cutest, sweetest little guys ever! Important things you need to know about how wonderful Patrick is: Approximate age/birthdate: 1 yr - 1-1/2 yrs Weight/size: 20 lbs Housebroken: yes Crate trained: yes - will go and get in his crate on his own ... it is his 'safe' place Personality: happy, playful, social - once he knows he can trust you, wants to please you, settled, likes structure and routine, loves to be close to you Energy level: medium with periodic bursts of high Fenced yard required: YES - Patrick loves to get outside and run around freely Leash walk: yes Obedience training: knows sit and come Riding in vehicles: not his favorite thing to do ... does tend to get a little stressed and sometimes gets sick Spayed/neutered: YES Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES Microchipped: YES Social with other dogs: YES - loves to play with other dogs Social with cats: barks like crazy at the cats, but hasn't tried to hurt them Good with children: will do well with calm, respectful older children but is intimidated by a lot of loud noise and a lot of activity going on around him Other important information: Patrick came out of the public shelter and when he was there, he was completely withdrawn due to all the noise and activity going on around him. He has been great once he got into a foster home in a regular family situation. He will do well with a family that will include him in family activities ... and may even be able to overcome his fear of riding if he learns the trips are going to take him to something fun with his family. We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Patrick picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is a $175 adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
