Crate trained:  YES (may still have accidents if left too long)

Personality: silly, happy, energetic, loving

Energy level:  medium with bursts of high

Fenced yard required?:   DEFINITELY PREFERRED because she needs lots of exercise.  One or two short walks each day will NOT be enough

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  NO

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK … gets a little stressed at first         

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES (her energy and love of playing can be annoying to older, calmer dogs)

Social with cats:  Will bark at cats

Good with children: Has not been around children in foster care.  Her energy may be too much for younger children but we think she would be fine with respectful children 10 and over.

Adoption donation: $175

Miss Ellie is just too cute.  And she is as sweet as she is cute.  She is a happy, energetic, excitable girl so having a family willing to work with her to get plenty of exercise is a must.  She wants to be loved and played with, and her social skills just need a bit of polishing.  She still has ‘puppy exuberance’ and energy.  She is a great companion and cuddler.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Ellie picks you too.
