Kallie is now celebrating life in her new forever home!  Happily-ever-after little one!

Approximate age/birthdate:  born Sep 14 2016

Weight/size: a little less than 5 lbs

Housebroken:  YES … but remember … tiny dog, tiny bladder … so she needs to go out often

Crate trained:  YES

Personality:  super sweet, happy, loves to give kisses

Energy level:  medium

Fenced yard required?:  Definitely preferred so she has a safe place to roam and explore.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  NO

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats: Unknown … hasn’t been around cats in foster care

Good with children: Unknown … hasn’t been around children in foster care.  She is super sweet so we think she would be OK with older (10 and over) children who are calm and respectful.  She is very small so children must be mindful that she is a bit fragile.

You know all the negative things you hear about Chihuahuas?  Well Kallie is NONE of those things.  She is happy and sweet and loving and will wash your face every time you pick her up.  Now she will growl at other dogs … especially big ones … and especially if they get too close to her food bowl.  But … hey … she’s little and she has to make them believe she means business. 

Kallie is playful and happy, but she really loves to be a snuggle bug.  And who wouldn’t want to snuggle with a sweet little bug as cute as Kallie?

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Kallie picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
