Hi … my name is Desiree (I answer to Desi, too) and here are some things you need to know about me:

Approximate age/birthdate:  born July 22, 2014

Weight/size:  ~ 11 pounds

Housebroken:  YES (as long as you make sure she potties when she is outside instead of just playing ... she loves to play and forgets to 'go')

Crate trained:  YES

Personality:  happy, friendly (after she trusts you), playful

Energy level:  medium with bursts of high

Fenced yard required?:   YES-she has the Boston Terrier energy and needs a safe place to run and play off-leash

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training: NO but she is very smart and will learn quickly

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK … gets a little stressed at first and may drool

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES (she was raised with her brother so is used to having another pup around)

Social with cats:  Unknown … has not been around cats but would probably chase them

Good with children:  Will probably be OK with older, respectful children.  She likes to play but does not like anyone running at her and grabbing her.

Desi is just adorable and even though she’s a little cautious when meeting new people, she warms up quickly.  She came to us from an owner who was sad to give her up.  According to her previous owner, her mother is a Boston Terrier and Dad is a Chihuahua.  That explains the beautiful brindle coat, the adorable little underbite and the bouncy, bouncy energy!  And the ‘smarts.’  Taking Desi to an obedience class will be great for her and a wonderful bonding exercise with a new family.

Desi is a goofy girl who loves to jump into your lap … whether you’re ready or not!  She can lick your entire face clean, including cleaning your eyes, ears and nose, in less than a minute.  You can’t help but laugh at her silly antics.  She is a great companion, and she will be happy with an active family who will include her in all the family fun!

She has lived her life with adults only, but we think she will be ok with older children who will treat her with respect.  She may be overwhelmed and/or over-excited by a lot of noise and activity with younger children.
