Weight/size: ~14 lbs

Housebroken:  YES (as long as you do your part to get him outside regularly) but he hates to go outside in the rain!

Crate trained:  YES  (will protest at first)

Personality:  low-key, easy going, good companion but not necessarily a lap dog

Energy level:  medium … he is a pretty chill guy

Fenced yard required?:   Always preferred … he will do fine with daily walks and regular trips outside to potty

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  No

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats:  Has not been around cats in foster care

Good with children: We think he would be ok with older, calmer children who would respect him and treat him gently.  He is not a rough-houser and would not like a lot of loud activity around him.

Biscuit has known lots of love in his life and his world changed a lot when his owner’s health was failing.  He is such a kind and gentle soul … he is a true gentleman.  He came into AAMR with some hair loss and some crusty ears which seem to be caused by some allergies.  We are experimenting with grain-free foods and various medicated shampoos and ear washes to see if we can get this guy some relief.  He is so patient and tolerant and just a great little guy.  He is not demanding and he likes to be where he can see his people … but he doesn’t always want to be held.  He really likes peace and quiet (no small children running around being loud and busy) and a cushy bed to curl up in.
