About Aurora

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Brown/Chocolate with Black

Hi … my name is Aurora and here are some things you need to know about me:

Approximate age/birthdate:  April 8, 2016

Weight/size: ~20 lbs

Housebroken:  YES (as long as you do your part and take her out regularly)

Crate trained:  YES

Personality: happy, active, exciteable, very vocal

Energy level: medium with bursts of high

Fenced yard required?:   Definitely preferred … she likes to roam around in a safe area but would be a flight risk in an unfenced area.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  No

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES … she can be a bit loud if she is crated and other dogs are not.  When introduced properly she seems to do well with most calm dogs who behave well.  She does feed off the energy of pups around her.

Social with cats:  No cats ... she will chase them

Good with children: Will probably be ok with older (10 and over), calm, respectful children.  Her energy may be too much for younger, smaller children.

Adoption donation: $175

Aurora is a cutie who is a bundle of wiggles.  She listens well (if she wants to), she is lots of fun, and she can be very intense if she believes she needs to be ‘on duty.’  Did I mention how cute she is? The key to keeping this girl happy is letting her know YOU have everything under control and she just needs to chill.  She is just adorable and has enough energy that she will really enjoy being part of a very active family who will include her in all the family fun! She is just laid back enough to chill with her family when things calm down each day.  She will not be a good apartment/townhouse resident because she tends to be very vocal ... and she doesn't have a volume control or an inside voice!  She has been a very loved member of a great family and she just wants to have a new family to call her own!

If you think Aurora might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Aurora picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.

Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
