Hi … my name is Stuart and here are some things you need to know about me:
My foster mom says I am super cute … whatever that means. I am pretty happy and I like to be near my people. I am not wild-and-crazy rowdy, but I like to play and explore everything in my world.
Stuart is just cute as can be and the expressiveness of his face and eyes will get you every time. The jury is still out on what his breed mix is … long and low, fluffy and happy! We are sure, however, that he is a bundle of fun! It’s really hard not to smile every time you look at him. And when he comes over to get snuggles, he tugs at your heart! He’s old enough to be out of the crazy puppy stage and young enough to keep up with an active family.
Stuart is not a sit-at-home kinda guy. He will do best with a family that will include him in family outings and will give him lots of attention every day. Long walks on-leash and lots of playtime are high on his wishlist!
Approximate age/birthdate: born ~2012
Weight/size: 30 lbs … and he is solid
Housebroken: YES … as long as you do your part and take him out regularly. He is a big water drinker so he needs to go out often.
Crate trained: YES
Personality: happy-go-lucky, social, pretty mellow, sweet
Energy level: medium
Fenced yard required?: YES …. He will wander and gets so excited about his exploring that he will not come back when called … a typical terrier! Must be a physical fence, no underground/electric fence.
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk: YES
Obedience training: No but would definitely benefit from an obedience class … he is really smart!
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Microchipped: YES
Social with other dogs: YES
Social with cats: Will chase them if they run
Good with children: Has not been around young children but with his personality we think he would be fine with respectful children at least 8 years old
Adoption donation: $175
If you think Stuart might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online.
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Stuart picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
