What a sweet little girl.  We were told that she was dropped off on a back road by someone who just drove away and left her.  Poor sweet baby was running scared for a bit and was finally captured by Animal Control and taken to the shelter where AAMR picked her up.  From Day 1 she has been the sweetest, most loving girl.  She has obviously known a lot of love and attention, which helps us know that she definitely needs a new home where she will get a LOT of attention!

Weight/size: ~11 lbs

Housebroken:  YES

Crate trained:  YES

Personality: sweet, snuggly, very loving

Energy level:  medium

Fenced yard required?:   Definitely preferred, but she will probably be fine with leash walking only

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk with manners:  YES

Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES although she definitely prefers the company of people

Social with cats:  OK with cats

Good with children:  Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Andie picks you too.
