Happy Day for Tucker (formerly Chuck) when he moved to PA with his new family.  He is joining 3 other AAMR alumni - Roxie, Bella, and Beethoven and another pup-sister, Zoe!  He is going to love having furry playmates and humans who will spoil him rotten!

Hi … my name is Chuck! Please read my bio to find out everything you need to know about me.

If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online.

“Everyone is taught that angels have wings, but the lucky ones of us find they have 4 paws.” – Jury Nel

Chuck is the angel that is just an overload of cuteness and personality wrapped in a beagle body.  He is even monogrammed!  Check out the ‘C’ on his back in the pictures below!  He is adorable and just as sweet as he is cute, and he is so excited about finding a new forever family of his very own!

Chuck had an owner who wanted a beagle puppy and then realized that puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention to guide them and help them grow up into wonderful adult dogs.  Puppy teething is fact of life, and if you don’t give them proper ‘puppy things’ to chew on, anything in the house or the yard (fenced of course) is fair game.  Puppies need to be taught to potty outside, and Chuck is doing a good job with this.  Puppies need to learn to sleep all night quietly in a crate, and he is doing well with this, too.  Chuck is a puppy, and he is a GOOD puppy, and he will be an amazing addition to the right family!

Approximate age/birthdate:  June 28 2020

Weight/size:  ~20 lbs (will probably fill out to be ~25 lbs)

Housebroken:  Working on it … almost there.  If you do your part and get him out often, he does really well

Crate trained:  YES and he doesn’t have potty accidents in his crate – even overnight.

Personality:  playful, happy, fearless (he doesn’t know there is anything he should be afraid of yet), loving

Energy level:  medium – yes, even for a puppy he is not super wild and crazy! He does a short burst of high energy occasionally!

Fenced yard required?:   YES please … he is a beagle with nose to the ground and beagle noses can take pups places they should never go!  He should never be off-leash outside a fenced area because he will do the beagle thing and chase squirrels, rabbits, deer, cats … and sadly, vehicles!

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk with manners:  YES – he does get excited and pulls a bit if he sees something he wants to chase, but he responds to correction,

Obedience training:  NO but we think he would be a star in a basic obedience class

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES!  He may be a bit much for older dogs because he does love to play!

Social with cats:  Would definitely chase them and might hurt them just play too rough

Good with children:  Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up.

Adoption donation: $175

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Chuck picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.

Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
