Have you ever seen a more precious face than this?  Meet Chloe … a lovely little shih poo girl who could be the new love of your life!  Apparently this girl has been used as a breeder dog, but from now on her life will be all about her! 

Now we all know there is no such thing as a ‘perfect dog,’ but sweet Chloe comes close.  She is beautiful and sweet and well-behaved and quiet and snuggly … etc, etc, etc … but she has been known to shred a paper towel (or 12) when left on her own! She would love to be part of a family where someone is home most of the time so she wouldn’t be left alone much.  She seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, but people are her favorite!

Approximate age/birthdate:  March 31 2019

Weight/size:  14 lbs

Housebroken:  Does well as long as you do your part and take her out often.   

Crate trained:  YES

Personality:  a little reserved, happy, snuggly

Energy level:  medium

Fenced yard required?: Definitely preferred for fun and her safety.  She should never be off-leash outside a securely fenced area.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk with manners:  YES

Obedience training:  NO but she does listen well. She would probably enjoy going to an obedience class with her new family.

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES – she seems to be fine with other dogs, especially ones close to her size

Social with cats: Has not been around cats in foster care

Good with children:  Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Chloe picks you too.
