Crate trained:  YES

Personality:  Outgoing, friendly, loving, wants to be snuggled and loved

Energy level:  mid to high (in spurts),  She definitely needs a fenced yard or a large safe area where she can play off-leash.

Fenced yard required?:   YES

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  no training but is very smart and learns quickly – wants to please you

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats:  Will bark at them and chase them

Good with children:  Has been fine with older children.  Her energy may be too much for younger children

Sweetpea came to us from a high-kill shelter with a litter of babies.  She was very undernourished but was a great mommy. The babies have all been adopted and now Sweetpea is ready for a great life of her own with a very special forever family who will love her for the rest of her life.  She should be taken to obedience classes as soon as possible to strengthen the bond with her new family.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Sweetpea picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
