Trained to an underground fence?: NO
Where Charlie stays during the day/when home alone?: Garage
Where Charlie stays at night?: Owners’ Bedroom
Does Charlie walk well/without excessive pulling on leash? : YES
Has Charlie had any obedience training? Or does he/she know any basic obedience commands such as 'sit,' 'stay,' 'down,' or 'off'?: Yes, we have had the dog since Christmas 2011 and he is learning fast. He has all the basic commands and is adding a new command almost weekly. This is an extremely smart dog.
Does Charlie ride well in vehicles? Charlie loves to ride in vehicles. He usually lies down and goes right to sleep.
Is Charlie spayed or neutered?: YES
Is this pet up to date on all routine vaccinations?: YES
Is Charlie microchipped?: YES
Is this pet social with other dogs? :At first he shies away from other dogs, then he warms up quickly.
Is this pet socialized with cats? Unknown - we do not have a cat. When we have been out walking or jogging with Charlie and we have encountered a cat; he ignores it.
Is this pet good with children?: Yes, we have a 2, 4, 8 and 12 year old grandchildren. Initially, he does not like children to "get in his face." Again, he warms up quickly especially if a child offers him a yummmie.
Does this pet have any bite history?: He has not bitten anyone. When I play rough with him he will give you "love bites," ie, nibbles.
Other important things you need to know about Charlie: This is a beautiful thoroughbred Weimaraner that has a very rough life before being rescued. He is still growing and learning after being ignored and almost starved. He loves to run and wants to be part of everything you do. We work and have to leave him for 9 hours a day in the garage, which is not fair to him. He would do great in a home where he would have more companionship. He adores human companionship and might actually benefit from canine companionship if the other dog is very settled and balanced and will provide a great role model of confidence for him.
