Good with children: Would not necessarily recommend having him with younger children - all the noise and activity might intimidate him a little. He will do best in a calm, laid back household.

Lucky is just the cutest little guy ever.  He was dropped off at a local Animal Control facility by an owner so he has gone through some changes in his life.  He is very loving and wants to get in your lap and be cuddled, but there are some things that make him uncomfortable and he gets a little defensive.  You just need to move slow with him at first so he feels secure that he can trust you.  Most of the time he can't get close enough to you. When he trusts you, he is just the sweetest snuggle bug, so we are sure that with the right family he is going to be wonderful.  He made great strides in the first week he was in foster care. If you have time in your life to help an adorable little boy learn to trust people again and to feel loved and valued, Lucky might be the perfect little guy for you!

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Lucky picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
