Bea (formerly named Abigail) is a 3 year old, 40 pound, Chinese shar pei mix. She came to us when her owner passed away and she was a joy. She definitely gets attention wherever she goes. She walks well on lead, is housebroken, is very smart, but she’s a little on the shy, reserved side. When she first came to us, she curled her lip and low-growled at all the other pups, but we realized she wasn’t aggressive at all … she was scared of them. It took her a couple of days and then she has been fine with everyone. She is very laid back and quiet. She seldom barks … but she does snore loud enough that you can hear her in another room. Must be all the wrinkles!
August 2, 2008 was 'happy dance day' for Bea. That's the day that Kerri, Ryan and Loki came into her life and she moved to Raleigh, NC with them. Kerri and Ryan felt that Loki would like a new friend and companion in her life and they loved the shar-pei breed. Loki is a shar-pei and mastiff mix - and what a love she is. At first the girls pretty much ignored each other, but we hear they have become almost inseparable.
