Starr (previously named Smokey/Lilly) is a shy little mutt – probably some sort of shepherd mix. She is probably at least 2 years old and weighs around 30 pounds. She’s very sweet and very quiet – very laid back personality. She’s a little timid around the other dogs, but gets along with them just fine. She and Rascal had been wandering together homeless for a while. She’s spayed and up-to-date on shots, so what she really needs most now is a family who will love her forever.

Thanksgiving weekend 2008 brought Starr real cause for celebration. That's when Theresa Watson saw her photo online and she felt big tugs on her heartstrings. She came out to meet Starr and there was a bond that formed that day that will last a lifetime. Theresa was looking for a special canine friend to love and Starr needed a very special person to understand and accept her shyness and just nurture her.
From the first day at home with Theresa, Starr settled in and she is one extremely happy girl! A match made in Heaven!
