Obedience training:  No

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK … gets a little stressed at first         

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES … he is a bit wary of bigger dogs when they are new to him. 
 
Social with cats: has not been tested

Good with children: we were told that he is good with children, but has not been tested in foster care

We are not really sure what Buster is other than a cute, sweet little guy.  He has many physical characteristics of a dachshund, but we’re not sure where the ‘blue’ color comes from.  He came to us with some hair loss, but after a thorough vet check (including a skin scrape) we have narrowed it down to possibly genetic.  This is a common issue with ‘blue’ coats in any breed.  He isn’t itchy at all, so we’re hoping getting onto a good nutrition program with healthy, no-grain food may be the answer.  Even with some bald spots he is just cute as a button!  Buster really wants a new forever family to call his own!  Could that be you?

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Buster picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
