On July 1, sweet Miss Sheba started celebrating her happily-ever-after with her new forever mom! These two girls are so lucky to have each other!
Hi … my name is Sheba and here are some things you need to know about me:
Approximate age/birthdate: born October 2016
Weight/size: 15 lbs
Housebroken: YES
Crate trained: YES
Personality: reserved at first, wants to be a snuggle bug, sweet
Energy level: medium with bursts of high
Fenced yard required?: YES … she can be a little skittish and possibly a flight risk
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk: YES
Obedience training: No … but she seems to be a quick learner
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Microchipped: YES
Social with other dogs: YES
Social with cats: Curious about cats and might want to chase them
Good with children: She’s a little nervous at first around new people and all the noise and activity of small children might be a bit much for her. We think she would be fine with older (10+) children who would be willing to respect her and be gentle with her.
Adoption donation: $175
Sheba was given up by her family and we don’t really know why … and that’s OK. What we do know is that Sheba is a sweet girl and once she bonds with you, she is a huge lovebug. She is a bit cautious and a little slow to warm to new people, but once she knows she has nothing to fear, she is sweet as can be. She really wants to love and trust people and once she bonds with you, she wants to know where you are at all times! It is so sad to see sweet dogs who are fearful and so rewarding when you see them relax and enjoy the company of new people.
Sheba is looking for a patient family who is willing to give her a little extra time to get comfy and time to learn to relax. Could that be you and your family?
If you think Sheba might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online.
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Sheba picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
