BeBe Lou (now Lou Lou) is a happy girl in her new forever home!

Energy level: medium/high … she is on the go and looking for a job, but she can settle nicely inside

Fenced yard required?:   YES … she needs a place to get outside and run off some energy.  If there is no fenced yard, someone will need to take her on long, brisk on-leash walks/runs.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats:  Maybe a little too interested in the cats … would definitely chase them and might harm them.

Good with children:  She will probably be OK with older children.  Her size and energy may be overwhelming for smaller, younger children.

Miss BeBe Lou is in need of a new home due to her owner’s health issues.  It was such a difficult decision to rehome her, but it is going to be a good thing for BeBe Lou to find a new family that can make sure she gets all the exercise and play that she needs to be a happy, healthy girl.  She is such a beautiful and sweet girl … so easy to love.

Schnauzers are working dogs and they are extremely intelligent.  They are not the best dogs for inexperienced owners, and they definitely need owners who are confident and consistently ‘the leader.’  BeBe Lou is very sweet and very people-oriented, and we think she would really enjoy going to obedience classes with her new family!  Sometimes now she just seems ‘too busy’ to listen well, but we can see a star emerging once she bonds with a new family and knows her job is to listen well and to do as she is asked.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if BeBe Lou picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
