Hi … my name is Carmen and here are some things you need to know about me:

My foster mom says I am a super silly girl.  I am sweet and loving and busy, busy, busy.  I am not wild-and-crazy rowdy, but I like to be on the move exploring everything in my world. 

Carmen is just cute as can be and she has the typical Pomeranian ‘happy face.’  It’s really hard not to smile every time you look at her.  And when she comes over to get snuggles, she will melt your heart!

Carmen is not a sit-at-home kinda girl.  She will do best with a family that will include her in family outings and will give her lots of attention every day.  Long walks on-leash and lots of playtime are high on her wishlist!  Oh ... and one more really special thing about Carmen ... she loves to play in water ... any water she can find ... including pouring rain.  Yep ... she plays in the water bowl every chance she gets!

Weight/size:  15 lbs (yes, she looks fluffy but there’s a small dog in there with lots of hair!)

Housebroken:  YES ... as long as you do your part and let her out regularly
 
Crate trained:  YES

Personality: happy-go-lucky, social, hard-headed, sweet

Energy level:  medium

Fenced yard required?:   YES …. She will wander and will not come back when called if she is interested in what she is exploring!  Must be a physical fence, no underground/electric fence.  She needs exercise to keep her healthy and happy!

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  No but she would definitely benefit from an obedience class … she is really smart!

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats: Will chase them if they run

Good with children:  Has not been around young children but with her personality we think she would be fine with respectful children at least 8 years old

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Carmen picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
