Hi … my name is Buttercup and here are some things you need to know about me!
Handsome Buttercup came to AAMR with one eye bulging out of its socket and the other crusted over. First order of business was to get the bulging, damaged eye removed and start treating the other eye with prescription drops daily. He could not see out of the damaged eye, but he seemed to feel much better after it was removed. His vision has probably been impaired for some time because he does not seem to be stressed or concerned that he can’t see. His biggest concern has been getting to know that he can trust people to be sure all his needs are met … food, a safe place to sleep and play, a safe yard to go out in, and people who will handle him with love and respect. If you have the heart for a senior who needs lots of love attention, Buttercup could be the boy for you!
If you can’t adopt Buttercup, but you would like to help contribute to his care, please consider making a donation to AAMR and noting that it should be used for Buttercup.
After you read through my bio, if you think I might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Buttercup picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
