Betsy definitely had the luck of the Irish on her side on 3-17-19 when she found her new forever family ... and she has new doggy playmates. Happy Life little one.
Hi … my name is Betsy and here are some things you need to know about me! After you read through my bio, if you think I might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online.
Look at this face! My foster mom says it is cuteness overload … whatever that means! I say it is the face of a girl who really wants to find a home and family of her very own. I am happy and loving and snuggly and playful … all the things a perfect puppy should be, right??? My wish for a forever home is a fenced yard, people who love me and will give me belly rubs, and having another small pup to play with.
Approximate age/birthdate: 7 25 18
Weight/size: guesstimated adult size ~15-18 lbs
Housebroken: Partially … is pretty good using pee pee pads
Crate trained: YES
Personality: happy, sweet, loving. smart
Energy level: Betsy is actually pretty calm for a puppy! She plays hard and then calms down with nice inside manners. Belly rubs knock her right out.
Fenced yard required?: Definitely preferred as she needs a place to play safely off-leash
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk with manners: She is learning and with practice will be wonderful
Obedience training: No but she does listen well
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Microchipped: YES
Social with other dogs: YES … does best with dogs closer to her size. She will be happiest in a home with another small dog to play with.
Social with cats: Has not been around cats, but they would scare her if they were aggressive toward her.
Good with children: Will be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up. Her puppy play style and energy will be too much for younger children.
Adoption donation: $175
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Betsy picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
