Hi … my name is Luna! Read my bio to find out everything you need to know about me. If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online.
What a sweet, energetic fur-baby ball of wiggles this girl is! She is such a puppy, full of love and happiness and energy and she does not think she has a care in the world. Luna is just beautiful inside and out. She has the most loving spirit and it is hard to understand how she could have started out being bounced around to places where people were less-than-kind to her. This is the puppy who may never grow up and you may never convince her that she isn't a lap dog!
Approximate age/birthdate: ~Nov 26, 2019
Weight/size: at 6 months, 32 lbs (guesstimate is about 50 lbs adult weight - she is probably going to stay a rather petite girl)
Housebroken: working on it. She does well as long as you do your part and take her out often
Crate trained: YES (although she will still have accidents in her crate if left too long)
Personality: happy, playful, energetic … she’s a puppy!
Energy level: high … but she does settle down nicely when asked
Fenced yard required?: YES ... and a physical fence (not underground or wireless). She is a young pittie mix and she needs a safe place to run and play and be protected from anyone or anything that might do her harm. She is so trusting and loving (as most pitties are) and she really believes she does not have an enemy in the world right now. NO EXCEPTIONS
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk with manners: Getting there! She is still very young and energetic and will pull when she gets excited or when she sees something she would like to chase! She is also timid when going into new places for the first few times. Training and patience are important with her.
Obedience training: None yet but she listens well
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK (she does ride crated with her foster family)
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Microchipped: YES
Social with other dogs: YES. She thinks all the other pups should play with her so she is a bit overwhelming for some of her smaller and/or older foster siblings.
Social with cats: She is not quite sure about cats but might accidentally hurt one trying to play. Recommend NO CATS
Good with children: Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up. Her energy (coupled with her size) would be a lot for infants/toddlers to deal with.
Adoption donation: $175
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Luna picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed. Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
