Dixie is an adorable little long-haired Jack Russell Terrier/beagle mix girl.  She was born March 13, 2009 and she now weighs about 14 pounds.  She is so loveable and snuggly and she has just about the most beautiful face you can imagine.  And she is just as sweet as she is beautiful!

Dixie gets along well with all her foster pup siblings, the cats, and people.  She is very gentle and would do well with calm, well-behaved children.  Dixie is playful and happy and she loves to play outside, so having a fenced yard where she could play safely off-leash is very important to her.  She walks well on leash and loves to ride, too.  She is about 90% housebroken and is completely crate-trained.  With just a little time and consistent work, her housebreaking should be complete.  We think she will be under 20 pounds when grown.

Dixie has nice house manners.  She settles down nicely inside and loves to sit next to you or on your lap.  If you’re busy, she will nestle down in her puppy pillow for a little nap.  She will, however, sneak into the laundry room and steal your socks!
