Important things you need to know about how wonderful Oreo is:

Approximate age/birthdate:  approximately 5 years old

Weight/size:  ~50 - 55 lbs

Housebroken:  yes (but will mark territory if competing males are around)

Crate trained:  yes ... but he absolutely HATES being crated

Personality:  social, friendly, polite, has very nice house manners, alpha

Energy level:  medium

Fenced yard required:  YES - this is a breed that needs some room to run.  A 15 minute walk each day will NOT do it for this guy!

Leash walk:  yes

Obedience training:  knows sit and come, seems like he may have had some previous training, a very, very smart boy

Riding in vehicles:  loves to ride

Spayed/neutered:  YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:  YES

Microchipped:  No

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats:  will chase them

Good with children: will do well with older, respectful children - very gentle, but will not tolerate ear and tail pulling

Other important information:  Just an absolutely all-around good guy who deserves a wonderful forever home with a family that will include him as a true member of the family.  He is very people-oriented and just needs some love and attention.  He will love to be the only-dog as he is definitely an alpha!

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Oreo picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is a $150 adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
