***FANTASTIC NEWS! OSO HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER FAMILY! ON SUNDAY, JUNE 6, 2010 OSO WAS ADOPTED BY JOHN AND JULIE DANSTROM. *** Meet Oso ... you will fall in love as soon as you do! Important things you need to know about how wonderful Oso is: Approximate age/birthdate: ~2 years Weight/size: ~50 lbs Housebroken: seems to be Crate trained: yes Personality: very people-oriented, social, friendly, happy, wants to be close to you at all times, wants attention Energy level: medium with bursts of high Fenced yard required: YES - Oso needs room to run to get enough exercise. He can jump a 4' fence, so a 6' privacy fence or an underground fence would probably be better for him. He will stay inside the fence until he sees 'his people' on the other side and he thinks he needs to be where they are. Leash walk: yes Obedience training: knows sit, come, paw/shake, off, leave it Riding in vehicles: LOVES to ride Spayed/neutered: YES Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES Microchipped: YES Social with other dogs: YES. He doesn't realize how big and how strong he is, so he sometimes 'rolls' the smaller dogs when he is just trying to play with them. He has not shown any aggression, but would probably not back down if he were antagonized by another dog. Social with cats: no cats, please ... he will chase them and could hurt them Good with children: seems to really like children and will do best with those old/large enough that he can't topple them over when he tries to play with them Other important information: Oso is just a really nice pup. He will win your heart the minute you lay eyes on him. He is food motivated, so very easy to train ... and he is one smart boy. He would love to have a family of his very own that will love him and include him as a real member of the family. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Oso picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is a $150 adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
