About Tiny
Status: Adopted!
Species: Dog
General Color: White with Black
Wouldn't it be great if we could save all the senior dogs whose families have given them up! Tiny is one of those little senior girls! You can just read the sadness and emotional pain in her eyes. You see, Tiny's mom gave her up and moved to Texas a few months ago. Tiny was devastated at being abandoned by the one person who had cared for her for her entire life, and is having a rough time getting through the transition. She went from a loving, quiet home where she was the only dog, and was pampered to a "tee," to a shelter where there is continual barking and noise; she is not handling it well. She misses her human so much!
Tiny told us she would like a nice older woman or man to love her, and devote their days to only her. She has a couple of soft, stuffed toys now that are her very special friends, and it is just so heartbreaking to see her trying to console herself by snuggling with them, instead of a warm human. Because she has no place to consider her very own home, Tiny has become protective of the corner of her kennel run at the Humane Society of Amherst County facility where she has lived for three long months.
Tiny does not make a good impression on visitors, but she is desperately wishing to have a home. Sometimes dogs just give up on humans, and in Tiny's case, we feel as if that might be the problem. Humans let her down--her human deserted her and now she is just so lost, she can barely handle it.
