Approximate age/birthdate:  born ~2007/2008

Weight/size: 50 lbs        

Housebroken:  YES

Crate trained:  YES

Personality: typical boxer clown, loves to run and play, happy to play with people or other dogs, very curious about toys,  will play with his food bowl if he can’t find anything else, very watchful (might tend to become protective)

Energy level: medium with bursts of high

Fenced yard required?:   YES because he loves to get outside and explore and play

Does he/she jump fences?  NO 

Leash walk:  YES but still gets excited and pulls - needs more practice

Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit,’ will come when called (unless he is in the middle of exploring)

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES  - but would not leave him unsupervised around very young puppies

Social with cats:  Watches them but doesn’t bark or try to chase them

Good with children:  Yes – but would be best with older children because he can easily knock a toddler over with his energy

Adoption fee:  $225

This is a great boxer!  He is still a little underweight, but we’re working on it!

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Churchill picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
