Energy level:  medium with bursts of hig

Fenced yard required?:   YES – she just loves to get outside and explore and play and lie in the sun

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES – gets excited and pulls sometimes, but responds well to correction

Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit,’ comes when called, treat-motivated so trains easily

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES – loves to play with all sizes of dogs; somewhat submissive personality but will not be bullied

Social with cats:  will bark at them and chase them but would likely not harm them

Good with children: YES – she loves everybody

Ladybug was very pregnant when she came to us.  She had a large litter of 11.  Seven of them survived and were the absolutely most wonderful, adorable babies you can imagine.  And she was an awesome Mom for such a young little girl.  They have all been adopted and now it is time for Mom to find a forever family of her very own.  She is an absolute sweetheart and will be a wonderful companion for the right family.  She definitely yellow lab mixed with some sort of terrier (the ears).  She has the lanky, soft lab body and the lab-happy full-body wag.  She is one of the sweetest foster pups ever!

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Ladybug picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
