Personality: Francine is the typical little dynamo doxie. She is smart, spunky, fearless, stubborn, and very entertaining. She loves to be close to you and if she can’t find a lap to get in, she will burrow down in the blankets.
Energy level: medium She is very playful and loves to stay on the move. She would love to have a family with time to spend playing with her daily.
Fenced yard required?: YES – dachshunds are hunters - scent hounds - so they will follow their little noses to places they should not go if they have the freedom
Does he/she jump fences? NO (but dachshunds are notorious diggers)

Good with children: She will be fine with children 8 and over. She likes to touch her people and she may be a bit overwhelming to very young children. Dachshunds can also suffer back injuries if mishandled, and this can happen with younger children.
Adoption fee: $175
Francine came to us with 2 young puppies who have already been adopted. She is a great little girl with lots of love to give and she is so ready to find her forever. She is such a typical doxie and she will bring tons of joy to her new home. She will do best in a moderately active household with a family that will include her in all their activities. She is a very social little girl and will try to make herself the center of attention everywhere she goes … and she is cute enough to do just that!
If you think Francine might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online.
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Francine picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
