BELLA IS A BEAUTIFUL AAMR SUPER SENIOR GIRL WHO IS AVAILABLE TO SPONSOR as well as for adoption. SHE IS A LONG-TIME FOSTER WITH AAMR AND DONATIONS TO HELP WITH HER CARE ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Sweet Bella has lived most of her life in foster care with AAMR. She is very shy and a flight risk due to her skittish nature. She is comfortable with her long-time foster family but still has days when she will run if anyone looks at her or speaks to her. Bella and her sisters came to AAMR when they were young puppies and all were shy, but her sisters were adopted by very patient families who loved them just the way they are. Bella was adopted once and escaped from her adopters after 2 days and it took us a full week to find her (found several miles from her adopters' home) and get her back to safety.
Here are some very important things you need to know about Bella

Bella is a sweet girl and very reserved, especially until she gets to know you. Her curiosity is definitely piqued by squirrels and other small animals so providing her a secure fenced area to play in is necessary. She would be very likely to run off chasing another animal. She has a slightly submissive personality with her foster siblings and enjoys having the other pups to play with.
Bella likes human companionship, but she is not a lap dog. She likes human attention but is not thrilled about being picked up and carried around. She will jump up beside you in a chair or on the sofa, but that’s close enough for her! She is a flight risk outside so a physical fence is required.
If you think Bella might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online.
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Bella picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
