Here are some very important things you need to know about Foxey

Foxey went into foster care with Christine and she never came back!  Another foster failure and we are so happy about it!  Foxey now has another adorable little terrier sibling, Roy Boy, as well as several others!  She is a happy girl ... she has a whole new crew to boss around!  (Little does she know they're just humoring her! shhhhhh .... )

Approximate age/birthdate: 2009

Weight/size:  8 lbs

Housebroken:  YES

Crate trained:  YES

Personality: outgoing, happy, social, energetic, silly

Energy level:  high

Fenced yard required?:   YES – she is an escape artist and very, very quick!  And if she escapes, she pretends she can’t hear you calling her to come back!

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES (does better with a halter than with a plain collar)

Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’ (but has a hard time being still long enough to sit!) – is very smart and with patience and consistent work, she could be a training superstar

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats:  YES

Good with children:  She hasn’t been with children in her foster homes but she would probably be fine with older, calm, respectful children

Foxey is just the cutest little bundle of energy you can imagine.  She is always happy and always on the go.  She loves being the center of attention but she also loves having other dogs to play with.  She came to us with a litter of 5-day-old babies and she was NOT the model mother.  She was more worried about being snuggled than she was about snuggling her little ones.  Well … at least she won’t have to do THAT again!

Foxey is such a typical little terrier … she’s bouncy, she’s happy, she’s yappy, she’s curious, she’s loving, she thinks she’s a BIG dog, she’s fearless … and she will make you laugh.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Foxey picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
