Personality: very loving and friendly, wants to be as close to you as possible, thinks she’s a lap dog

Energy level:  medium with bursts of high (she IS a young lab girl!)

Fenced yard required?:   YES – Sienna needs room to run and play off-leash

Does he/she jump fences?  NO  (former owner says she has been hard to contain but we haven’t had any problems in foster care)

Leash walk:  YES – with more practice will have better manners

Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’ – but has a hard time with her lab energy.  Very smart and trains easily

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   NO

Social with other dogs:  YES – just loves to have a playmate

Social with cats:  Will bark at them and chase them                     

Good with children: YES – she just loves people of all shapes and sizes

Look at that sweet face!  Sienna is such a sweetheart.  She is very sweet, loving and happy.  She loves to be close to people and she plays well with her foster pup friends.  She is an inside girl with great house manners.  She just wants to be as close to you as she can get.  Nobody has told her that labs aren’t lap dogs!

Sienna will be happiest with a family who will treat her like the little princess she believes she is.  She wants to be an important part of the family and will be on her best behavior when you take her with you for family activities.  She will be most unhappy being left behind!  She will be happy to go on long walks with you or play fetch with you or just sleep by your feet.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Sienna picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
