Dottie is such a sweet senior girl and she has NOT had a great life!  After years of neglect, she spent almost 4 months in a pound.  When she came to us she was extremely underweight, her teeth are ground down to nubs, she had a severe ear infection and blood work showed anemia … probably due in part to an extreme flea infestation.  She also had a uterine infection and a mammary tumor.  She has had a couple of surgeries and has been treated for all her medical issues thanks to some much-appreciated sponsorship, and she is absolutely ready to find a great family to live the rest of her life with. She is so easy to love and returns your love ten times over!  She has been fine with other dogs but would love to be an only child so she could make up for lost time getting all the love and attention she has missed out on through the years.

If you think Dottie might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online.   Please review our adoption process at http://www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/info/adoption and contact us if you have questions about the process.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your reference checks are completed and your application is tentatively approved, we will schedule a home visit and a meet-and-greet to see if Dottie picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption contract to be signed and a requested adoption donation.

Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com or call 434 841 0411 or 540 297 1590 if you have additional questions.
