Joe was found by a kind person who took him in for veterinary care for severe ear infections (typical cocker spaniel!).  He is such a gentle, loving boy – can’t imagine what his life has been like.  His weight is good and he loves being around people, so chances are that he once had a family that treated him kindly.  He was very matted and tick-infested when found, so he had to be shaved down and cleaned up, but he was prancing around like a model when he came back from the groomer.  He feels lots better, AND he tested negative for heartworm and tick-borne diseases – YAY!  He has a few ‘old age bumps and warts’ but seems to be generally healthy.  He is just the sweetest boy and he would love to have a great family to live the rest of his sweet life with … and that will likely be several more great years!

If you think Joe might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online.   Please review our adoption process at http://www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/info/adoption and contact us if you have questions about the process.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your reference checks are completed and your application is tentatively approved, we will schedule a home visit and a meet-and-greet to see if Joe picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption contract to be signed and a requested adoption donation.

Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com or call 434 841 0411 or 540 297 1590 if you have additional questions.
