Duke is just a fun-loving, happy little guy. He is obviously part beagle, but the jury is still out on the other part(s) of the mix. Several have guessed collie, but without a DNA test, who knows!?! If you try to make him do something he doesn’t want to do, he’ll give you the ‘stink eye’ and maybe a little low growl. His foster mom just laughs at him and reminds him that they do make doggy dentures! He is, however, easily bribed to do almost anything with a milk bone! Duke loves people and he is so ready to have a family of his very own. Don’t you need a new little clown in the house?
If you think Duke might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online. Please review our adoption process at http://www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/info/adoption and contact us if you have questions about the process.
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your reference checks are completed and your application is tentatively approved, we will schedule a home visit and a meet-and-greet to see if Duke picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption contract to be signed and a requested adoption donation.
Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com or call 434 841 0411 or 540 297 1590 if you have additional questions.
