Approximate age/birthdate:  born ~2008

Weight/size: ~10 lbs

Housebroken:  Does well if you do your part and take her outside on a regular schedule.

Crate trained:  YES

Personality:  Very submissive personality, sweet, cuddly

Energy level:  Medium

Fenced yard required?:   Definitely preferred so she has a safe place to be outside.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  No but she listens as long as tone is positive.  She is easily intimidated and fearful of harsh tones.

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES – easily intimidated

Social with cats:  YES

Good with children:  She will be better in a calm household with adults and older, respectful children rather than young children.  The loud noises and activity of a household with young children may be overwhelming for her.

Miss Piggy is such a sweetheart and the very worst thing we have seen her do is piddle when she gets excited to see you!  She is very loving and snuggly. Miss Piggy and her friends, Romeo and Spirit, came to us from a home where the owner suddenly became very ill and could no longer care for them.  She has been much-loved and cared for and she is ready to find another family who will cherish her and love her forever.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet and home visit to see if Miss Piggy picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
