Other important things you need to know about Minnie:  Minnie was purchased from a breeder and then the family decided she had too much energy for them.  She is a mix of two energetic breeds AND  she is a puppy!  She is adorable and sweet BUT she needs a family who will make sure she gets plenty of exercise every day and who will take her to obedience classes.  She is very smart and she will be a challenge for an inexperienced owner.  She will respond positively to a strong, confident pack leader.  She will be a challenge if she does not get adequate exercise and training every day.  She is beautiful, very intelligent, fun-loving, and anxious to please but she is a working dog so she needs a lot of time and attention.  For the right family, she will be a dream dog!  Could Minnie be your new BFF (best furry friend)?

SPECIAL NEEDS:  Minnie has some severe sensitivities with food.  She has not able to eat dog food.  She does fine with boiled chicken or chicken livers, browned beef, rice, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin. She may or may not outgrow these issues.  Any adopter should be prepared to cook for her.

If you think Minnie might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your dog adoption application online.   Please review our adoption process at http://www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/info/adoption and contact us if you have questions about the process.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your reference checks are completed and your application is tentatively approved, we will schedule a home visit and a meet-and-greet to see if Minnie picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption contract to be signed and a requested adoption donation.

Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com or call 434 841 0411 or 540 297 1590 if you have additional questions.
