Breed mix:  Spaniel mix (possibly cocker/cavalier mix)

Color:  Black

Approximate age/birthdate:  born October 2012

Weight/size:  approx. 18 lbs (expect to be around 20-25 when grown)

Housebroken:  about 90% … working on it

Crate trained:  about 90% … working on it

Personality:  sweet, happy, playful, loving

Energy level:  high – very energetic

Fenced yard required?:   YES sio she can have a safe place to run and play off-leash

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  Still pulls a little, but she has shown much improvement

Obedience training/knows any commands?:   ‘Sit’

Riding in vehicles:  Rides OK      

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:   YES but with all her energy, she sometimes plays rough so she ‘offends’ some dogs

Social with cats:  Will bark at them but tries her best to play with them.  The cats are not thrilled with her energy!

Good with children: Would probably be fine with older children. Her energy would be too much for a baby or toddler.

Other important things you need to know about Molly:  She is just the cutest little girl, and she really is sweet as long as she is able to get plenty of exercise every day.  She needs to have a fenced yard and someone to play fetch with her and to work with her on obedience.  An active family who will include her in all the fun will be her dream come true! She LOVES attention, so if you take time to play with her and work with her, she will reward you with lots of love!

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your reference checks are completed and your application is tentatively approved, we will schedule a home visit and a meet-and-greet to see if Molly picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption contract to be signed and a requested adoption donation.
