Personality:  shy, reserved but sweet, very dependent on her sister Duchess

Energy level: medium

Fenced yard required?:   Preferred

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  NO

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   Will be before she goes to new home

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats:  Would probably chase cats

Good with children: Don’t know, but would guess she would be ok with older, calmer, respectful children

Adoption fee: $75 (or $50 if adopted with her sibling Minnie)

Minnie and Duchess have lived pretty good lives!  They have lived with an owner that loved them and took care of them, but now due to health issues, she can no longer care for them.  Her wish is for both girls to find a great family or families to love them for the rest of their lives.

Minnie has no idea she is 14 years old!  Unlike her sister, Duchess, Minnie is very shy, but sweet as she can be.  She is definitely a submissive personality and is very dependent on Duchess.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Minnie picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
