Good with children: Has not been around children but would probably be fine with older, respectful children

Sassy had been with her original owner since she was a baby, but life changes made it necessary for her to be rehomed.  She is such a little love bug … and just as happy as she can be.  She does have some ongoing skin allergies that will have to be monitored and cared for throughout her life.  She seems to do better on no-grain food and we are still using some anti-inflammatory meds to help her not be so itchy!  She looked ‘pink’ when she first came to us and is doing much better … she just needs time for all her hair to grow back.  She may be on meds off and on for the rest of her life and for now she needs medicated baths weekly.

If you’re looking for a little snuggler to be your best buddy, look no further!  She is just a little gem.  We believe she will do best in a calm household where she can be the princess.  Having another small dog to keep her company would probably be fine, too!

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Sassy picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption donation, and an adoption contract to be signed.
