Amy is a beautiful, well-mannered shepherd mix girl. She is a Hurricane Katrina rescue who came to live with a wonderful lady in the area who recently passed away. Amy is very low-key and a perfect lady. She gets along well with her foster siblings and has nice manners with the cats. She will do well with other pets, but will also do fine as an only pet. She has a gorgeous off-white coat and loves to be brushed. Amy walks nicely on a leash, rides well in a car, is housebroken and crate trained and will be a wonderful addition to the right family.

On September 14, 2008 Peter and Aileen Fletcher adopted both Amy and a cute little guy named Captain into their family. Not sure that Aileen's cats have forgiven her yet!
