Rae (formerly Cassie)is a 2 year-old, 40 pound, blue mottled Australian cattle dog. These dogs are bred to herd cattle by nipping at their heels instead of barking at them … and she is a very quiet, non-vocal little girl. She did get in a little trouble with her previous owners because she tried to herd the horses. She is very loving and wants to be close to her people. She is so easy-going and she smiles all the time! She does well in her crate and has very nice house manners, but a good-sized kennel or a fenced yard will make her feel safe and happy when she is outside. She walks on leash, gets along great with other dogs, ignores the cat, and is a joy to be around. She is spayed and up-to-date on shots. She is so easy to love and she just needs to find her perfect forever family.
July 4 2008 was a great day of celebration for Rae because she was adopted by Mackie and Liz Wallenborn. Rae also had a beagle brother waiting for her when she got home! We hear she is quite a happy little girl.
