ON FEBRUARY 8 2016 SASSY GOT HER HAPPILY-EVER-AFTER!  SHE AND HER FRIEND BUSTER WERE BOTH ADOPTED TOGETHER AND THEY ARE GOING TO BE VERY LOVED AND SPOILED FURKIDS!  HAPPY LIFE LITTLE ONES!

Hi … my name is Sassy and here are some things you need to know about me:

Approximate age/birthdate: born December 2014

Weight/size: 9 pounds

Housebroken:  Mostly … newspaper trained but will go outside if reminded regularly

Crate trained:  Will stay in the crate with minimal protest but will go potty in crate if not taken out regularly

Personality: happy, energetic, sweet, snuggly

Energy level:  medium with bursts of high

Fenced yard required?:   YES – she needs a place to run and play safely off-leash

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  LEARNING and getting better

Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’ … will sit for a treat

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK … gets a little stressed at first and will drool 

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats: Has not been around cats in foster home but would probably try to play with them or chase them.

Good with children:  Her energy may be overwhelming for very young children (and vice versa), but we think she would be fine with older, respectful children.

Sometimes you just need to let the cuteness speak for itself!  If you even look at her she will sit on her butt and wave her front paws at you … precious!  With all her energy, she still loves to be snuggled.  Sassy is a super sweet little girl. Her coat is stunning and very luxurious.  She won’t require a lot of grooming, but will require daily brushing to keep the mats out of the coat. She has always been around a lot of other small dogs, but we think she will thrive in a home where she can be The Princess or where she has one or two other small-to-medium, well-mannered pups to play with.  They need to be tolerant of her energy!

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Sassy picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
