Cooper has found his happily-ever-after with a new Dad and a Pom sibling. Lucky little boy!
Hi … my name is Cooper. Read my bio to find out everything you need to know about me.
If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online. Additional questions should be emailed to weluvpups@hotmail.com.
Oh Cooper … what a handsome young boy he is. A typical Pom – loves people, craves attention, is smart and curious, and is a brave little watchdog! He will bark at new people while he is sizing them up to be sure he approves of them. He is also still a little spooked by sudden, loud noises, so a relatively quiet home will be wonderful for him. The beautiful champagne-colored coat is very silky and will require regular brushing and grooming. He is just the sweetest little boy and he really wants to find his new ‘person’ soon! Could it be you?
Approximate age/birthdate: ~ mid May 2019
Weight/size: 11 lbs
Housebroken: YES … as long as you do your part and take him out often and get him on a schedule
Crate trained: YES but will still have accidents in the crate if you don’t get him out often
Personality: sweet, spunky, a little reserved when meeting new people (warms up quickly)
Energy level: typical youngster … medium energy with bursts of high!
Fenced yard required?: Definitely preferred because he has always had one. He should never be outside a fenced area off-leash
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk with manners: Working on it and improving daily
Obedience training: NO but would benefit from the structure and socialization of a good class.
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Microchipped: YES
Social with other dogs: YES
Social with cats: Has not been around cats in foster home. He would probably be curious about them.
Good with children: Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up. Younger, more active children would be intimidating to him.
Adoption donation: $250
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Cooper picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
